This weekend is useless for for writing because I'm working, and I've been feeling off, so I've been sleeping (and I got acupuncture again) instead of writing.
I will catch up next week for sure.
As of today, my total word count on this WIP is 11500.
Managed to add another 1071 words today, but I'm too tired to be motivated. I've got a total of about 15K on the WIP, but I did already have 8K before May. Pretty happy with my progress, but looking forward to tomorrow morning - when everyone else is sleeping, I'll be up and writing. I do so much better in the mornings anyway.
Everyone is rocking! For me, my big success was writing *something* every single day this week, even Thursday when I managed a scant 100 words. My one week total is 7,611 words, split between 3, 175 in book reviews and 4,436 on my new WIP. That's more fiction words on a single WIP than I've had in four years! WAHOO! Thank you, Shoshanna for having this challenge.
ChanceofBooks, if you like May50K you'll love its inspiration, NaNoWriMo in November. That's a huge event. Glad you're getting lots of writing done! All it takes is some accountability (ie posting word counts on Twitter and this blog) and a deadline! :)
I've done (and completed the 50K) 3 times with NaNoWriMo--2005, 2006, and 2007. Then I had a baby :) Tried to NaNoWriMo in 2009 but was laid low by horrid morning sickness. November is always the worst possible month for me with teaching college classes--nothing but grading. But this has been so much fun I might try this year. Or I might do my own August 50K which is a much better month for me.

ReplyDeleteWish I was doing better with this. I was able to do 2527 today. That only brings me to 5024.

ReplyDeleteWoohoo, wtg Chance. Sat not a good day. Too stressed to write even though the house was quiet.
ReplyDeleteOnly 327... *thumbs down* I've already tripled that by writing past midnight!
I'm glad everyone's kicking May50K butt! :)
